Boots are ageless fashion footwear that can be worn year round. Nowdays you can pick styles in classic and the latest trends, made with leather or man-made materials. Today, boots are made for more than just winter wear or foot protection. The sky’s the limit for the design you prefer! Here’s some hints for finding the perfect height for you. Introducing the ankle, mid calf, knee and above the knee boots!

Ankle boots are very comfortable and trendy, and can be worn by anyone, making them the most flexible style. The secret to wearing them in the most becoming way is to wear them with clothing that coordinates with them. Most ankle boots look best when they are worn with pants that cover their top. If you don't like the height or the heel of a taller boot, you will appreciate these. When wearing pants, many people won't know they are short. You will occasionally see a celebrity or other fashion forward person wearing ankle boots with a short mini skirt or other retro clothing. Although this is acceptable, you have to be self-assured and discriminating when trying this fashion move.

Mid calf boots are excellent for many people, but you should be aware that they may make short legs appear even shorter. They are a wonderful combination for that skirt that falls an inch or two below your knee. They will allow a little calf to show in between, but not enough to make you look ridiculous. Mid calf boots are comfortable yet chic. You'll be able to find them in Western cuts to wear with that jean skirt and t-shirt. You can also find them in sophisticated black heel styles for your work attire. No matter what you do, make certain that you keep your skirt hem right below the knee when wearing them. You can also use them with jeans or pants. Try tucking them in or pulling them out over your boots for different styles.

Knee boots were once considered so sexy that only exotic dancers wore them. These days, knee boots are hot and classy, utilizing height to show off your legs. They work most successfully on long legs. Short legs can look too short when wearing them, unless you are wearing a very short skirt. They can slim down your legs and create a runway look. We are also witnessing them worn with skinny jeans tucked into them, which is very hot at the moment. You can wear knee boots with short dresses, skirts, or pants. Just be sure not to match them with long dresses, unless the dress has a long slit in the skirt, in which case these boots are perfect!

Only the long legged can wear boots that come higher the knee. Short people who attempt to wear boots above the knee will realize that they will hit their waist before they get a good fit! These boots should be reserved for dancing at the clubs or impressing a hot date. They should not typically be worn to your job or to a conservative event. They are a little risqué and can be come across as being too alluring. Be aware of these things and wear them correctly.

As you can see, boots come in many distinct heights. Remember that different boot height works niftiest with certain types of clothing. If you love boots, consider getting several pairs in appropriate heights. Unless you are tall with long legs, you may not be able to don all heights in a flattering style. Heel height is also important. Don’t choose shoes that you cannot walk in comfortably. A pointed, rounded or squared toe will bring about different looks and comfort level! Take into account whether you will be wearing your boots with a dress or pants, for security from the elements or merely for fun. Price may also be a consideration, and a high-end pair of boots may cost several hundred bucks. Whatever style of boots you choose, go with what you think feels best and what feels best for you. If you execute that, you will be donning those boots with style.
